eBET has combined the latest software development with industry standard computer technology to create this robust system. Sentinel has been designed to offer the critical security and robustness of a multi-venue gaming WAN system, whilst incorporating the additional LAN features and functionality demanded by contemporary gaming venues. The system has been designed to be open to future innovations as needs evolve.
Microsoft Windows™ interface ensures ease of use.
The advantage of the Sentinel System is the ability to access such a high level of security and reliability with the cost effectiveness and ease of use of the industry-standard Microsoft Windows interface. The system is also designed with built-in scalability and flexibility particularly in the areas of database structure, storage and interfacing.
The design team have ensured that the Sentinel database is high performance and ANSI SQL compliant. The open design is capable of being ported to a range of industry-standard platforms, as the scale and scope of the implementation demands.
CMS was designed in two parts: the Central Monitoring Controller (CMC), and the Site Controller (SC).
As a monitoring system, Sentinel records gaming machine meter readings, including financial and performance statistics, significant events and operational usage in real-time at the venue (using the SC). This data is securely stored at the venue until it is requested by the CMC. At the Central Server, data is reported on using a SQL database.
User interfaces for the CMS system are developed using Borland Delphi 7.0 Enterprise EditionĀ®. The interfaces and the software modules for the Central (CMC) and Site Controllers (SC) provide the operator with the ability to access, retrieve and perform operations on the information stored in the various databases by the Sentinel CMS. The process is transparent, as the user is always presented with a graphical interface or pre-formatted reports.
The SENTINEL CMS is designed to provide:
| • |
All of the necessary functions for a successful "central monitoring system" and "linked jackpot system" for particular regulatory authorities, venue operators & license operators; |
| • |
Absolute control over the configuration of the Sentinel™ gaming system; |
| • |
Ease of installation and allowance for future modifications and upgrades by using modular hardware components; |
| • |
User friendly software which can be easily upgraded in the future; |
| • |
Extensive, embedded and external diagnostic and testing facilities; |
| • |
Scalability at the Central and Site levels; |
| • |
An interface designed in a logical, hierarchical structure to improve operational efficiency; |
| • |
Means to allow the operator to retrieve and perform operations based on gaming information; |
| • |
Ability to retrieve information about specific sites; |
| • |
The required Progressive, Mystery and Bonus Jackpots, with multiple jackpots/levels, and venue/EGM groupings; |
| • |
Means to export information via reports or print pre-formatted reports; |
| • |
An overall secure and dependable system; |
| • |
Continuity of support and easy upgradeability; |
| • |
Short learning curve by using a widely adopted Microsoft Windows platform. |
